In addition to his math teaching experience, Ethan has also taught coding to middle school students, as well as beginning to advanced drumming, and beginning music theory, piano, and bass guitar to students of all ages. He is an accomplished carpenter and a self-described, one-time ‘ski bum.’ Together with his wife and two kids, Ethan has lived on Vashon for just over a year.

"I am confident that Ethan’s math training, experience and deep knowledge of where middle school math students are headed, will add great value to Harbor School. He is a creative and critical thinker. He is highly personable and has an exceptional ability to inspire students. Most importantly, he has already begun the task of learning about our school. I am very excited to begin working with him and I hope you will join with me in welcoming him to our school." - Mark McGough, Head of School
